Here at Clydey, the safety of our guests and staff is of the highest priority and we have therefore put the following measures and precautions in place. Please do contact us if you have any questions or concerns and for the latest updates on what we can and cannot offer.

Having reopened, we still have to adhere to certain restrictions and below are details of how we are currently operating.

Cottages – all cottages will be cleaned to our usual high standard and then also sanitised as a second defence. If time allows, we use a sanitising, antiviral fogging machine, certified against coronavirus, after the previous guests vacate. We will be removing any non-essential items from the cottages that cannot easily be cleaned and sanitised – bed throws, cushions, leaflets etc. If time does not allow us to use the anti-viral fogging machine, bedding, pillows and duvets will all be changed between guests (not just the bed linen). Hand sanitiser will be given to every family with suggestions and advice to maintain physical distancing.

Facilities – during COVID, our swimming pool was available on an exclusive basis to each cottage in pre-booked allocated slots. These proved so popular that exclusive sessions are still available to book between 7am – 2pm, with ‘free for all’ swimming taking place from 2pm onwards. The changing rooms and showers have now reopened, as has the toilet in the leisure building but we do still recommend guests use their own cottages to show, change and use the toilet if possible.

The Soft Play and Games Room have both reopened for guests to use and when they wish, but it is a legal requirement in Wales that masks are still worn in indoor public spaces.

Animal Feeding – will still take place with children but it will be at a reduced capacity in order to maintain physical distancing from our Team. Therefore up to 3 families can take part each day, which does mean that families cannot join in every day of their stay.

Outdoor play areas and ride-on toys will be available, with sanitising stations nearby and guests asked to sanitise hands before and after using.

Our Woodland Adventures sessions and Circus Skills (during school holidays) are able to run as these take place outside.

Children’s Club – unfortunately, we will not currently be able to run our Children’s Club as it is a non-parental supervised activity and it will not be possible for our Team to remain physically distant from the children in their care. We do not yet have a date for starting the Children’s Club.

Please rest assured that we will do our utmost to ensure all guests have a wonderful holiday at Clydey.

In terms of cancellations, if either you cannot legally travel or we cannot open, due to national or local lockdowns, then you would either receive a full refund or a credit note to put the money towards a future booking, whichever you prefer. However, if we are open and you choose not to travel of your own volition, either because you are ill, or self-isolating, or for any other reason, then our usual T’s and C’s would prevail.  We strongly urge all guests to take out their own holiday cancellation insurance to ensure you are covered for illness or any unforeseen circumstances.
